K-Garden in Serangoon

A short short post about a new Karaoke place I was introduced to!

K-Garden in Serangoon area near Chomp Chomp! :)

Fel recommended us that place. It's only $8 for 6 hours!

So Fel, Cheryl and I went there together :)

It's really a nett price of $8 and no additional charges.

But terms and conditions apply. Got certain time restrictions one.

So if you are interested, do call them and ask every single detail properly!

Don't want you all to end up spending too much!

A 21st birthday celebration with my hall friends! :)

We had lunch at Lenas!

Never been there before but some of them recommended that place so we went to give it a try.

The menu! Of course they had other food too lols!

I wonder why I only took photos of the pasta on the menu.

But I did order pasta =P

Mine! Mixed Seafood Pasta!

Think it's just normal only though.

Should have tried the other one that my friend said was nice!

This freshie whom I got to know in Insinyur and later became in the same hall as me!

And she's like the squatter of Fel and my room lols! Can always find her in our room one.

Cause GK and I are both born in May so our birthdays are always celebrated together.

Last year our birthday was celebrated together too and I did blog about it =P

Initially I was wondering why they knew what I wanted.

Then I remember I blogged about so little money, so much to buy.

And Fel and Cheryl knew my blog link! So either of them must have read it.

Really thankful to have such lovely friends :)

Enjoyed myself alot that day!

Lyn's 21st Birthday

Went out with my hall friends on a Thursday night to celebrate lyn's birthday.

It was a super belated birthday celebration (so no cakes).

We were planning to try out Ah Loy Thai at Shaw Towers and guess what happened there?

When we just entered Shaw Towers an Indian stranger suddenly stopped infront of us and said he's lost.

All of us where stunt cause we felt weird. And our dear kind wanling asked him where he wanted to go.

And he said something like "I will follow wherever you are going"! 

And he kept following us closely! All of us freaked out!

Still in our state of shock, we brisk walked to Ah Loy Thai (he was still following us) and luckily that area was very crowded and he decided to just walk away.

Ah Loi Thai!

Read a number of good recommendations online so we decided to try the food there.

We reached at 8pm and guess what was the second thing that happened?

They told us that most of the food was sold out! :(

So people if you all want to try the food there, do go early!

So we decided to have ice cream at Tom's Palette (right opp. Ah Loi Thai) first then dinner. 

Cause after dinner we might not be coming back to this building.

This was only two third of the flavours available!

There was another section inside the shop!

And the best thing?

They had student offer! 10% off :)

Then I recommended we settle our dinner at Shokudo :)

Went there once, around three years ago and loved their curry rice!

We all love the egg that's on the rice!

And btw, the serving is super large!

Denise wanted to order a pizza to share. Luckily I stopped her.

The last time I went there I had someone finish my food for me too.

Item 702 (Grilled Chicken Curry Omu Rice)

Decided to try this cause I had Item 703 (Tonkatsu Curry Omu Rice) before.

And this is just as nice! :) The rest agreed that the curry rice was nice too! Especially the egg! :)

But the curry were a lil too salty :( It wasn't this salty when I came here 3 year ago...

So we randomly got people to help us take photo using the polaroid and also using my camera.

It was a bridal gallery! hahahas! We were there at like 10+ at night!

So no one was there and we just made use of one of their decorated pillars to take photo ;)

Other than the scary incident at Shaw Tower, the whole day was really fun!

Celebrated Fel's birthday on 17sept :)

It was an early birthday celebration.

Her actual birthday is 18sept :)

But this post became a belated birthday post.

* Arghhh! All my posts are lagging!! * :(

Okays back to the topic.

First Lyn and I told her we wanna go shopping.

So we made her go to Nex with us.

And at around dinner time,

we told her we were hungry and say we wanna go Strictly Pancakes to eat!

It's at Prinsep Street :) Walking distance from Dhoby Ghaut MRT Station.

It's near The Cathay :)

So we reached there,

sat down and have dinner! :)

We sat outside though.

Cause inside was full already :(

Yay! Here comes our honey and garlic butter!

Then came our food!

We ordered 2 plates to share.

Cause after that they still planned to go to Play Nation!

Potatoes Leeking Cheese ($12)

Hmm the pancake itself has potatoes, cheese and leek stuffed inside. And that black black pile is actually black pepper mushrooms! (Sorry used my handphone cam)

The pancake was a little bland, so please use the sauce/honey/butter with it!

The black pepper mushrooms were not bad :)

First time eating black pepper mushrooms! lols!

Benedict The Thief ($14)

Hmm this is the one that fel didn't really like.

All because of the egg! Yes the egg! Why?

Cause the egg has a sour cream taste.

I do agree that it tastes a little weird :(

But other than that, eating the pancake together with the turkey ham and sauce was nice :)

If you want to try this, eat the egg together with everything else.

Don't eat the egg alone else the sour cream taste is super strong.

I felt that mixing all together and eat was ok :)

Then while eating halfway, the rest came and fel got surprised! :)

Then after eating they went to Play Nation to play board games and cut the cake.

I didn't join them cause I had to rush home :(

But at least I made an effort to travel there to celebrate with her!

I even tried delaying what I had at home to stay a little longer with them.

But anyways...
