[Review] Bioré UV Aqua Rich Watery Gel

Tuesday, 27 October 2015

Did you know that prolonged exposure to the sun’s UV rays without proper protection can cause permanent effects such as premature skin ageing, wrinkles & freckles, as well as, various skin damages like discolouration, sallowness, dryness?

Well... it might be hazy in Singapore but that doesn't mean you can skip your sunblocks! The haze isn't gonna block out the UV rays for you so here's...

The Bioré UV Aqua Rich Watery Gel SPF50+ PA++++ contains the breakthrough Aqua Micro Capsule a water capsule which breaks upon application on skin to release the UV protection agent while giving skin a cool and refreshed feeling.

[Review] Biore Micellar Cleansing Water

Sunday, 14 September 2014

Biore just launched a new makeup remover. It's the Biore Micellar Cleansing Water! This cleansing water effectively removes makeup without clogging pores, is a lightweight and refreshing makeup remover that lifts off more makeup in one wipe! It leaves your skin feeling clean and refreshed with no sticky after feel. Most importantly, it is said to be suitable for all skin types, even sensitive skin!

Biore Micellar Cleansing Water contains:
:: Watery Micellar Technology that effectively dissolves and lifts off all makeup including mascara and eyeliner
:: Natural Mineral Water from the Northern Japanese Alps for a gentle and soothing formula
:: Enriched Collagen and White Tea Extract for brighter, softer and suppler skin
:: Anti-bacterial formula helps prevent pimples and breakouts, and minimises pores for a clearer and more refined complexion

To use this, all you have to do is:
1. Pump an appropriate amount onto a cotton pad (I use one full pump).
2. Use soaked cotton pad to gently wipe off makeup. For eye makeup, place soaked cotton pad onto closed eyes and hold for 5 seconds before gently wiping it off. Repeat until all makeup is removed, and cotton pad is clean. No rinsing required.

My Review:
Honestly, Biore has been my go to brand for makeup wipes cause they are non-sticky and great for lazy days! And on non-lazy days I would use Shiseido's makeup remover gel and eye & lip makeup remover. After trying this product, I would consider it as a Shiseido eye & lip makeup remover dupe! They both are non-sticky, lightweight, gentle, have the same texture and won't sting the eyes! They both have similar makeup removal effects but the best part is this the Biore Micellar Cleansing Water so much cheaper! I guess from now on this will be another go-to makeup remover for me! :)

Here's a before and after photo comparison! One wipe was sufficient to remove every single bit of my eye makeup. But one thing to note: the eyeliner I used was one formulated for easy removal. Nonetheless the mascara used was a waterproof and smudgeproof one! For the lashes I wiped them twice just incase there were mascaras left behind.

Biore Micellar Cleansing Water retails at $18.90 and is available in all pharmacies, hypermarkets and supermarkets, and major departmental stores! Do get your hands on one ;)

[Review] Biore Cleansing Oil Cotton Facial Sheets

Thursday, 19 December 2013

Biore Cleansing Oil Cotton Facial Sheets just got a revamp! :)
They kept the 3 same types of packaging: travel size (10sheets), box (44sheets), refill (44sheets).
But the design of the packaging has changed and the sheets are now soaked with more product!

Received a box (44sheets) of Biore Cleansing Oil Cotton Facial Sheets from thesamplestore.

The new & improved Biore Cotton Sheets

1. Speedier removal
(20% more cleansing oil in each sheet)

2. Gentler to skin
(50% less wiping on eye lashes, eye area & face)

3. Moist after skin feel
(NEW Hydrating Beauty Essence to leave skin moist and soft with no stickiness)

They've even changed the design of the box!

4. Improved sealing performance with air tight tub
(less getting dry, new sheets that contains much liquid last longer)

Ingredients:
Water(Aqua), Isododecane, Butylene glycol, PPG-9 Diglyceryl esther, Dicaprylyly ther, Hydroexyethylcellulose, Fragrance(parfum), Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl acrylate crosspolymer, PEG-12 Laurate, Potassium hydroxide, Tocopherol, Sodium hyaluronate, Phenoxyethanol, Methyparaben

My review:
I used just one sheet to remove all my makeup (even my waterproof eye makeup)! Love how well each sheet of Biore Cleansing Oil Cotton Facial Sheet is soaked now. Each sheet is now loaded with more of the makeup removal solution but they are not soaked to the extend where they become messy. You can tell how well soaked they are just by squeezing it - you will be able to see the solution dripping out of the cotton sheet. The best part was that it is not sticky at all, leaves my skin moist and my skin is not sensitive to it!

Biore Cotton Sheets are available in major pharmacies and super/hypermarkets at:
Regular tub - $17.90,  Refill pack - $15.60,  Handy Pack 10s - $3.90!
Get your hands on them now! ;)

P.S You can redeem them from thesamplestore too!
All you need to do is create an account and add the 1week supply sample to cart.
Update: It is out of stock now.

[Review] Biore Marshmallow Whip Facial Wash

Friday, 7 June 2013

Biore Marshmallow Whip Facial Wash

Here is a comparison chart of all 3 facial wash in the Marshmallow whip series!

3 major improvements:
1. Formulation improvement for Regular and Extra Moist
2. Packaging Refreshment
3. Acne Care launch

I was chose to review the
Biore Marshmallow Whip Facial Wash
for Normal/Combination skin

I know that they have the new acne series.
But currently I have my trusty DRx products for my acne.
So I decided to give this face wash a try instead of choosing the acne one.

Cute and neat foam in one pump, really no mess at all!
The bubbles are really smooth and fine too :)

A comparison between marshmallow whip and other foams.

I did whatever I could with the foam, took photos with my palm facing down etc.
But... the foam still remained intact! Not a single bit came off.
These photos were taken 5minutes after doing all sorts of things to the foam.
The foam only slide a little and none came off.

That's all for my review.
I can't really tell what it did to my skin.
But I love the texture of the foam!
Those who hate messy facial foams should give this product a try!
They have 3 different type of foams in this series.
There is definitely one that is suitable for you skin type ;)

It is said to be...
The 1st Cleanser that supports & boost skin's natural ability to self renew!

It has the newest Skin Purifying Technology:
- High Cleansing Efficacy

You only see two types in the photo above but there are actually four types available!

This NEW Biore Facial Foam series has...
1. High cleansing ability
2. Low irritation

3. First cleanser that works to rebalance skin
– reduce oil at T-zone (forehead and nose) and replenish moisture at U-zone (cheek and chin)

Each has it's own uses (for specific skin type).
So you need not worry about using something that doesn't suit your skin.
eg. dry skin using oily skin product

Enjoy skin improvement in 14 days!
1. More hydrated skin
2. Less clogged pores & reduction in sebum
3. Lighten marks & belmishes

above all quoted from the media kit

Now for my personal review :)

Pros:
:: Soft exfoilating bits so it should be less harmful to your skin.
:: Smooth foamy texture when mixed with water
:: Left my skin smoother.
:: Smells nice

Cons:
:: Don't think it can be used daily
(anyways scrubs aren't meant to be used daily)
:: Contains paraben, might not be suitable for sensitive skin

Tip: If you are having acne and really have to use a scrub, go lighter on your skin.
Do not rub too hard else your skin condition might worsen.
(That was what happened to me once, in the past)

Pros:
:: Smooth texture when mixed with water
:: Smells nice

Cons:
:: Contains paraben, might not be suitable for sensitive skin
(Please correct me if I am wrong)

That's all for this review! Hope it helps ;)
