Katelyn's Skin Evolution with IDS Skincare #6

Tuesday 17 November 2015

Back with another review post for IDS Skincare a.k.a JYSK Skin Solutions! Btw, I'm pretty sure most of you know by now that I started working this year. But what I haven't been updating is that I wear basic makeup to work everyday and I think it resulted in quite a few breakouts.

I try to visit IDS Clinic once a month for facials to clear up my pores and the photo above was taken right after one of the sessions during the period I was having a bad breakout. I have very sensitive skin so my face is always red after facial extractions.

The thing about breakouts is that facials help to reduce the chances of it happening and my IDS skincare products can clear my pimples quite quickly. On average, each pimple can heal in 2 to 3 days. But sometimes the pimples are just so stubborn, or maybe cause of my itchy fingers, they end up as hyper-pigmentations after they heal! :(

That brings us to the product I'm sharing with all of you today - AA, one of the newer products from from IDS Skincare!

The AA is something like a lightening cream BUT the special part is you apply this only on areas with hyper-pigmentations and hopes, you don't need to worry that the skin near the hyper-pigmentation will be of a different colour as the rest of your face. This product only lightens the hyper-pigmentations and not the skin nearby. Don't ask me what sorcery is this hahahas.

Above are the before and after photos after about 2 weeks of using AA. As you can see, some of my acne marks / hyper-pigmentations are still there but they've all lightened significantly! A faster way to get rid of hyper-pigmentations would be expensive lasers but if you can get rid of it using products, why not right? It's way cheaper too. A 7ml bottle of AA costs only $19 and I could use it for 3 weeks! You don't need a lot of the product, just a thin layer application will do and usually I only use half a pump of it.

P.S. My skin isn't that smooth yet and both photos were taken with my camera's smooth skin mode on. But... just focus on the acne marks ok, cause smooth skin mode won't make the hyper-pigmentations disappear.

Above is my current daily skincare routine. I'm actually using their scrub too but it's not in the picture cause I don't use it everyday. I've had some changes to my products cause my skin has been on the slightly dryer side lately (woes of a person with combinational skin). Anyways, for those who are still combating their acne, 화이팅! ♥

  1. Hello Dear, I also have acne prone skin. Do you think IDS skin care products range is ok and suitable for sensitive skin? Do you happened to have some breakout after using their products?
    Please advise.
    Thanks.

    1. Hello! I do have sensitive skin too and nopes the products didn't give me any breakouts. Would advise that you visit the clinic as the doctors there would know your skin condition better than I do! :)

  2. Hi!

Can I ask, do we use OM before or after AA? It suddenly slipped my mind! Thanks!
